Good question - I should have spotted it myself. I've now looked up RV
1:35 and checked the reference, and can find no "pra-ugam" or anything like
it. The word is however listed in Monier-Williams, so it exists. He
suggests "prob.fr. pra-yuga". It is alphabeticised between pra and prak-,
so the hiatus is obligatory.
