Too problematic indeed. I suggest to dismiss any attempt to find IE
cognates for pre-IE items like this. I don't see any reason to think
Indo-Aryan stuff more valid or archaic than other IE stuff. Many
matchups with Indo-Aryan and European strange items are demonstrated
to be inconsistent. Does somebody remember the false connection
between Latin /servus/ and Avestan /haurv-/ ?
