They are all wrong because they're forms of collectivism.
Both nationalism and communism place the interest of the
collective before that of the individual. Racists also
base their sense of self worth on their membership in a
group rather than on their own character and achievements
where it properly belongs. All such ideologies are based
alike on an unfortunate herd instinct in humans, one which
is intensified in times of danger and in individuals with
low self-esteem. Start by reading "The True Believer:
Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements" by Eric Hoffer.
