Your supposition in this case is rather "viewing yor explanations,
I did not understood a iota, so I perseverate with my convictions
since I surely know better than you do". The correct idea would be
to get informed in the first place, then understand why both of us
emphasized the [iy] as undoubtful phonetic reality.

Well, I heard that a lot of times. Since Romanian doesn't use "y"
except some new foreign words, I'd rather transcribe graphically
the word as "trii". As well as in "prostii" (articulated plural
of "prostie", no offence intended). Trust me.
