A question about Russian

I don't know of a Russian or Slavic linguistics list,
or I would post this question there, but hopefully
nobody will mind if I ask here. Does the Russian
word 'akvarium' have three, or four syllables? If
three, is it [ak.va.riwm], or [ak.var.jum]? Thanks.
