*****GK: I don't find this "observed continuity" very
convincing. Steppe populations of various languages
and ethnicities tended to borrow cultural traits from
each other rather easily. For a good example of this
cf. the following website:

ancestors of the Turkic Huns were influenced by the
Scythian pit-burials.******
