BTW Møgeltønder (5 km from Tønder) is close to where the Gallehus
horns were found. And Hlewagastir and Heligastus and Hunibald and
bzzzt gggk. I think I'll cut back on the cappucino. We got plenty
(several thousand) mounds here too. The Møgel- prefix seems to be
confined to Jutland though. Elsewhere 'big' is Magle-. I recall there
was an unexpected dialect line down the Storebælt between 'nagen'
and 'nøgen' "naked", I forgot which went where (but cf
Swedish 'naken', Standard Danish 'nøgen'). So much for the evidence.
But is there a connection between the 'mound' and 'big' words?

BTW Any connection with the town of Mohilev?
