Do you have soemthing against Latin pescis > Rom. peSte? If not, then it
is to assume South Slavic modified the "is^c^e" after the way to speak
of the people they mixed with, thus since the inhabitants upon the Slavs
came used "-s^te" for "-sce", it appears explainable trhough their way
to speak the change in South Slavic. Thus, this is way this "reflex" is
just in South Slavic to find.
