footnotes to footnotes of Alex's main goal in life or
at least on this list: to demonstrate that the
Romanian language is not exactly a "Romance" language
(as the mainstream has it) but a descendant of
Thracian, which in turn was pretty close to Latin,
which explains why so many brilliant minds have
mistakenly believed Romanian to be a daughter language
thereof. And that's as close as I can come to
identifying our Alexiad. If that's not it, then I
admit to being thoroughly confused.******
