In Romanian, "trup" also means "corpse". That's
what's in the dictionary. Further outdated meanings
of it in Romanian: substance, matter; body (as a
collectivity, association of people); military unit;
ruling/steering body; series of volumes (book).
I wrote "outdated" above since, unless a native
speaker looks up the word in the dictionary, s/he
won't be aware of these connotations (that have
been forgotten for good).
