Really? Except for "aripa" (wing), which of the above
ends in an "-a"? fum (pl. fumuri), trist, veSmânt,
sete, dop, masc. viu/fem. vie, jgheab, cirip < cerep
[this is the genuine word, up to Apr 1954, the Academy
had recommended, as the correct form, "a inciripa,"
but nowaday's virtually nobody knows that "a înfiripa"
was initially wrong. But vox populi was so strong -
i.e., many a times bad or the lack of education
prevails -, so that the wise guys of the academe had to
change dictionaries accordingly]. And the last one,
"destul."

These examples are... destul (enough) for anyone to
accept that the 1st conjugation (-are) needn't
being supported by any helpful a-ending in a word
chosen to make it a verb.

Take another one: "post" > "a postà, -are, -at".
"Am postat acest mesaj." (I (have) posted this
message.) But also > "a postì, -íre, -ít". "Ieri
am postit, fu zi de post." (Yesterday, I fasted,
it was a fasting day.)

Even after reading Piotr's explanation?

Sure, but virtually nobody's gonna say brânza's
a Slavic word, coz them Olahs are around alive
and kickin'. While you can't count on
them Dacians or Thracians as witnesses for your
conviction that "trup" is either Dacian or
Thracian, and that Slavs and Balts inherited
it from the former. That's the... pain; so, what
can't be cured must be endured. ;)

He _did_ put some real arguments on display.
