Portuguese is more likely whether on the African, American, or, for
that matter, Indonesian coasts. Papiamentu, the Creole of the Dutch
Antilles (Aruba, Bonaire, CuraƧao), even if the vocabulary is now
mainly of Spanish origin, was originally based on a Portuguese pidgin.
