Seems unlikely:

ON <ho,ggva> 'to strike, to hew; to cut down, to kill'
OE <he:awan> 'to hew, to hack, strike, cleave; to cut down,
to kill'
Other NWGmc. languages have the same verb.
Lith. <káuju>, <káuti> 'to forge; to strike'
Lat <cu:dere> 'to strike, beat, pound; to thresh; to forge'
Toch. A <ko->, B <kau-> 'to kill'
