Dear Alex,
Accept You or not, it's not supposed metathesis, but true
metathesis. And I doubt that we have to deal with persian word
diz "castle, fortress" (cf. dizdar "commander of the fortress" from
present stem of verb dashten "to hold", like bayrakdar "flagholder",
etc.). The same word we see also in paradise (*deigh- 'to form, to
build', Watkins).
