Austro-Asiatic ONLY includes the Munda and Mon-Khmer languages.  Austronesian includes the languages of Australia and Asia plus has worldwide acceptance with annual (?) conferences.

No.  Austroasiatic comprises the Munda languages of
northeastern India and the Mon-Khmer languages.
Austronesian includes the Polynesian languages, the
languages of the Philippines (e.g., Tagalog, Cebuano,
Ilocano), and Indonesian, among others.
