The trisyllabic words became twosyllabic after the lost of final
consonant, don't they?
In this case, even there the accent must changed.
anyway, there is a bit trouble with this "m" final which sometimes is
lost sometimes not.
Latin:
eram , eras, erat, eramus, eratis, erant
Romanian:
eram, erai, era, eram, eratsi, erau

The literar way to write is not quiet correct since the "e" is in fact
an "ie" with a very weak "i". The hypercorrection made tough an "e" of
it.( trough the education given in the school, I guess.)
