<ceva> is _definitely_not_ the genitive of ce. It's a different
pronoun, meaning "something". I have no information on the etymology
of the particle -va, but an educated guess would be that it's simply
the verbal form va, vrea "wants, will". Cf. Spa. cualquiera, Cat.
qualsevol "anything"
