Please re-read my post. I never said *b- > gW-. What I wrote was that *gW-
> b- could not be dated in non-Mycenaean Greek based simply on the time of an
attested Mycenaean gW-. Because Mycenaean was just a branch of Greek, and
with a different history of development than the non-Mycenaean Greek
languages.
