Indo-European homeland(s)

While obviously not conclusive, a comprehensive
examination of relevant area toponyms and hydronyms
might offer interesting evidence concerning the
possible origin and spread of IE.
Question: which locales (Europe,Central Asia,
Anatolia,Iran, India, etc. etc.)have the largest
identifiable number of non-IE h. and t. (but such as
are not clearly later accretions, like turkisms in So.
Ukraine for instance)?
I haven't done much research here, but e.g. in
Ukraine, my references do not list ANY "pre-IE"
material. I think Piotr made a similar (or nearly
similar) point about North Central Europe a while
back. Does anyone have any information about other
European areas (Britain, Greece, Italy, the Basque
country, Lithuania, etc etc)in this regard? Are
"pre-IE" t. and h. discernible anywhere? And, jumping
eastward, what about India, esp. Northern India?
