the same...But at least Piotr will not censure your
responses to the "waxings" you received and doubtless
will continue to receive here, unlike Paul Barford's
pal Mark Hall on EuroArch, who refused to post my
response to message 1293. I nevertheless agree with
Barford's estimate of your methods, even though he
couldn't stand having his own "stature" impugned when
I mildly pointed out to him that Tacitus wrote not of
the "Aestii" but of the "Aestiorum gentes". Henry
Kissinger once asked "why are academic disputes so
vicious?" Answer: "Because the stakes are so small".
