Thanks Piotr and Chris,
for the info.
I'd just like to add that the scholar I had in mind was Ingemar
Nordgren, who in Goterkällan p. 111 writes:
"...Mycket tyder på att Bal[th]r - åtminstone till namnet - är ett
yngre tillskott. Däråt pekar såväl namnet på honom som på hans maka -
Baal och Nanna/Inanna är kända i orienten - och Forsete kan närmast
associeras till Fosites-land och kan ha kommit sjövägen med
friserna..."
Transl.
Much points to that Bal[th]r - at least to the name - is a yonger
addition. In that direction points both the name of him and his wife -
Baal and Nanna/Inanna are known in the East - and Forsete can
closest be associated with Fosites-land and can have come the sea
route with the Friesians.
Normally I don't agree with what IN writes in his book, so maybe I
shouldn't pay attention to this either.
I have also understood that it is bad manners of me what I'm doing in
these posts. I will therefore stop with it now.
I hope You don't judge me too hard for this, and also look to my
other posts for the total impression of me.
I'm again sorry for any inconvienieces.
Anders
