I think I've seen his site. Do invite him, if that's what you
proposed. The main problem with the theory of an Odin invasion at 0
CE is the lack of signs of war at the time (except for a dyke on a
peninsula in North Schleswig; I'll look it up); looks like people
just gave in to overwhelming force (cf. king Gylfe's reaction in
Snorri). But Albrectsen says (and I believe him): most likely an
invasion then.
Personally I think the Heruli were "coming home", that they were the
descendants of the original "Odin people" and that there was some
apprehension and uneasyness on the part of the Danes over the
previous war;

which is why they let the Heruli pass unharmed to Sweden. Olof
Rudbeck in the 17th century "proved"(?) that they settled in Värend,
from where they continually fought the Danes (I recall vaguely a
queen Brinda); the Swedish king was so pleased with Rudbeck's theory
that the people of Värend were made tax-exempt.
