There seem to be some areal
preferences:
*-isko- is extremely productive as an
adjectival suffix in Germanic (also *-sko-) and Balto-Slavic, though not unknown
elsewhere.
Various nasal suffixes (*-o:n(o)-,
*-a:n(o)-, *-e:n(o)-) occur here and there; the well-known "class member" suffix
*-(h1)o:n forms ethnonyms in several
branches and is perhaps pan-IE. There are also some characteristically Anatolian
suffixes like Luw. -wanni / Hit. -u(m)na- (of substratal origin?).

This discussion brought me a question: is there any PIE
ethnonymic suffix
present around all IE area?
*-on, *-no, *-ko, *-isko,
*-yo ?????
