It's not an "empty case suffix". It's an actual particle with a purpose in
protoIE.

Alright, if you want *-dc^- over *-dT-, fine, but the medial
consonant cluster in Semitic nonetheless explains IE *-ks and Kartvelian's
*-ks^- very well without the need to reconstruct
something absurd like **swesweks. Occam's Razor tells us to go
for the simplest answer. The simplest answer is that *s^idTu is
simply borrowed into IE as *sweks (via earlier *sw�kse).
