I am not sure Bartolomeu is Thoma, but far as I know Thomas is called
Tomë in Albanian.

Then probably you have the right answer.
Gjin must be a very old form of any of those names.
Meanwhile Luigi is called Luigj in Albanian. And the most common is
the female form of Eugenius, Evgjeni.
