What is the problem with Yahoo? They have kept all
the same services as e-groups. If your problem is with the Yahoo banner adds at
the bottom of your messages, there is a quick and easy fix for this - go to your
Yahoo Groups account profile and switch your send settings from HTML to plain
text. This eliminates the banner ad.
I have not noticed any increase in porn spam since
the switch - I use a hotmail account for my mailing lists, anyway, which allows
me to set up a "bulk mail" folder to catch all the spam. The bulk mail folder
will catch your mailing lists too, so you need to select incoming bulk mail
address and mark them "not bulk mail" or put them into "blocked senders." I know
it's a bit of a pain, but it's better than many other systems.
