I've never heard about the "Rydberg Edda", but I know about the Edda
in general. The Edda are books written by the Icelandic historian
Snorre around 1200-1250, and later rediscovered in Iceland. They
contain descriptions of the Norse religion, their gods and beliefs.
They also contain stories about Norwegian kings and lots of poetry. I
don't read Icelandic very well, so I can't tell you much more.
