I'm not going to be able to sleep at night now. That _is_ strange. If
anything, the first rule of thumb for serious webdesign is to _stay away_
from midi files altogether because they inevitably sound like cheap organ
music. I suppose they have their function on those sites which are meant to
be hokey and humourous but certainly not for serious sites... unless this
website isn't meant to be serious, or is it?

But judging by some people (and clients) I've run into, good design is
truely in the eye of the beholder and some people become obsessively focused
on little webtrinkets like midis and ani-gifs losing the whole big picture
of what their website is supposed to convey altogether. It reminds me of
this tacky resume that was passed around at a local Internet Service
Provider I used to work for. She wanted a position in webdevelopment there
and created an ecclectic resume with various annoying and unrelated pictures
tacked on carelessly to it, like scenes from various cartoons. I suppose she
was trying to impress the company with her special design skills. She
succeeded - We were so impressed that we laughed for days. Sufficed to say,
she was never hired, thank God.
