Even so, the -janya in Parjanya looks very much like a word for "born" while
*Par- would then need to be explained. It certainly for all intents and
purposes looks like "fire" to me. Plus with all the confusion with whether
the underworld is firey or watery, I can see a mix-up happening.
I'll think some more.
