It forces us into an impossible and non-mainstream scheme. How could the
Na-Dene be possibly the 3rd Wave at 5000-3000 BCE? This is exactly what we
should expect for the date of the EskimoAleut crossing. This would then
imply that the EskimoAleut and the Na-Dene went together at a late age which
is purposterous. Just looking at the linguistic spread of North America will
tell you what happened and in what order. The Na-Dene would have had to come
in first, with the EskimoAleut later, capping over the northern areas.

We can't explain the deviation seen in Na-Dene languages (Haida to Navajo)
as being simply a 5-7,000 year split. We aren't talking about the
IndoEuropean languages here. There's fair amount of variation amongst them
and some people have trouble connecting Haida with the Na-Dene languages.
