Well, probably I shouldn't be that surprised, as the first time I used the
Internet myself was to connect to the Unicode Consortium's website (to
download one of the first Technical Reports, which I think was a preliminary
paper by Michael Everson about the encoding of Ethiopic and/or Khmer -- I
think I read about that document on some paper IT magazine, probably
"Byte").
