I think that any Vai who wants to use a computer will have to learn
to read an alphabet, and pretending that this is not true is just
plain silly.

There evolved a convergence of practice (i.e. de-facto standard), and
the Ethiopian Quality and Standards Authority is working on a formal
national standard (which is based on that practice), as I am informed
by my colleagues.
