OUP hired a freelance designer, and I poured the text and tables into
her format. Where fonts weren't available through Ecological
Linguistics, I created them in Fontographer (and you can buy them from
Ecological Linguistics). The only difficulty was that my system -- a
IIci -- and printer -- whatever the current Apple laser printer model
was, 300 dpi -- stopped producing East Asian characters halfway through,
and they also didn't get into the PostScript files, so the proofs and
the final images for that section were done by another firm with
typesetting equipment that could handle it.
