Neither Bodley's message nor Geist's Web site mention the year, or even
the century, in which the Codex was written. That might provide some
insight. Many fantastic works (in the true sense of the word) were
created before the 20th century, and sometimes the time frame can shed
as much light on such a work as the author's identity.
