%50 is either "leet-speek", or MIT grads or wannabees with more than a bit of insight...at least i the past, iirc, all calculators used for academic work at MIT were HP, meaning MIT students took perverse pleasure in their reverse polish notation skills and could lecture ("prattle") endlessly about why it was more natural.
