Could some kind soul tell me (without doing research) where I
might find (online, very preferably) a specimen of text in
which "UU" literally represents a letter "W"? I once saw
such, but lost track.

Considering how universal the spoken name of the letter W is,
it would be a nice item to have. Nevertheless, in my limited
wandering around linguistic sites, I haven't found it again.
Such usage appears to be rare, although I could quite easily
be wrong.

Prof. Cathy Ball, of Georgetown U. (botth, iirc) might be
interested in Qalam, btw.
