I've just realised the problem. You're using the Text Search. I was using the Quick Link. I was presuming that the Quick Link allows for the PTS ref. Anyhow, thanks.

I wonder if you're somehow still using an older version of the DPR; I just tried P1.0001 in the vinaya and it comes up with

Vin 4, 1. mahākhandhako, 1. bodhikathā, para. 1 ⇒

1. tena P1.0001 samayena buddho...

OIC. Perhaps it's meant to be a long series of book numbering.

Anyway, I randomly submitted some codes in that pattern, even P1.0001, but it kept showing an error message:
        JavaScript Application
        Syntax Error

What does V, M, and T refer to?

kb

P is pts, but I seem to remember that the vinaya may not have embedded page numbers at all... It's all taken from the cscd.

You mean this?
To search for a page number, use the following syntax: P1.0001, P1.0002, etc., where "P" (or V, M, T) is the PTS pagination set, the first "1" is the volume, and the following (must be four digits) is the page number.

So, what shall it be for Vin.IV,272? I've tried V4.0272 and P4.0272. None works.
