Venerable Pandita,
   Thank you for your very clear explanation of what is really the 
point of this simile: the speed of the arising and falling away of 
ruupas that we cannot imagine. It is a reminder that we cannot hold 
on to ruupas. When we name them, label them or think: this is the 
element of hardness, they have already gone.
