Thanks for this suggestion. I had settled on "the self must be of such a
form" which is very close to what you suggest,

Jim:
Probably in essence very close. One difference is that I use "there must be"
without a subject which I thought appropriate for an impersonal f.p.p..
Also, I still find "evarūpena" tricky. I feel that "such a form" seems to
point back to "itthī purisoti" as some examples but not sure if that is the
intended meaning.

It was quite an interesting discussion back in early May.
