Hi Jim,

Unfortunately, the U of T Library does not carry the JPTS issue which contains it, so I've had to order it through inter-library loan. The text I am using is by Aanandajoti Bhikkhu who I believe used the Cone edition and he labels it as "Patna 254 [14.16] Khaanti". Presumably it is from her edition,

Best, Bryan

Bryan,

Do you have the Patna verse number in M. Cone's edition in JPTS XIII
101ff ? The Pali version ref. is Dhp 6. I have been looking at the
meaning and etymology of "nirutti" which I hope to comment on later
when I have more information.

The Paali equvialent ("yamaamase" ) is a first person pl. imperative
per PED.
