Dear Ole,
I found the following in Ruup-.t:
yathaahaati cuulaniruttiva.n.nanaaya.m ma~njuusaaya.m.
This Ma~njuusaa (possibly Niruttima~njuusaa) is a much older work than the
Niruttisaarama~njuusaa.
I have the first three pages of the Niruttisaarama~njuusaa.tiikaa typed out
and will send to you after some further proofreading. The third and final
introductory verse on p. 1 is:
saṃvaṇṇanā garuvarehi pakāsitā yā |
nyāsassa sāsnayatinaṃ mativaḍḍhanāca ||
āyācito yativarehi hitāya tasmā |
saṃvaṇṇanaṃ mativaḍḍhanamārabhissanti || ||
"sāsnayatinaṃ" is peculiar. I take saasna- to refer to saasana-.
The text is definitely related to the Nyaasa in some way. I have to see more
pages in order to determine what that relationship is.
Best wishes,
Jim
