Dear Yong Peng,

> thanks for providing the reference, Jim. Btw, I am wondering about
the disruption in Saddaniti. Are you not resuming the study?
>

The disruption is due to my work on the Kaccaayana project and not
having the time to work on the Saddaniiti project at the same time. My
last posting (to this list) on a sutta from the AAkhyaata chapter of
the Saddaniiti was mid-December of last year. Since the end of last
year I have been posting to my own list a sutta a week from
Kaccaayana's grammar starting with Kc 1 (next one is Kc 21). Although
my postings from Kaccaayana do not require much preparation time as
I'm using Ven. U Nandisena's translation, I'm also synchronizing the
weekly postings with my transcribing and editing work on the
Mukhamattadiipanii and two of its .tiikaas (about 1250 pages in all).
These are commentaries on Kaccaayana which I also need to spend time
studying. Incidentally, they are called "sleeping books" in Burma (ie.
rarely taken off book shelves).

So, as it stands, it doesn't appear that I will be able to resume my
weekly postings on the Aakhyaata chapter of the Saddaniiti anytime
soon. However, with what little I know, I'il be glad to answer
questions regarding the traditional Pali grammars. List members are
also welcome to receive my weekly postings on Kaccaayana. Just contact
me offlist with a subscription request.

Best wishes,
Jim
