I read a book where Ven. U Nyanuttara, the chief
editor of Pali-Burmese Dictionary, says the gerund
also denotes 'a posterior to the main verb'. The
example he gives is dvaara.m aritvaa pavisati. Could
we find a rule relevant in any old grammar book?
