I have discovered a new meditation center in Missouri which might teach
Pali. You can find the information at: _http://www.dhammasukha.org/_
(http://www.dhammasukha.org/) . They are just now building the facilities and will be
there in March 2006. I have communicated with them by e-mail but have not met
them as of yet. On this page -- _http://www.dhammasukha.org/schedule.htm_
(http://www.dhammasukha.org/schedule.htm) -- it says:
"We are looking forward to a constructive summer with lots of meditation
and sutta study going on. We are expecting a visiting Nepalese monk this year,
Bhante Pannaloka, who has been studying at Harvard for his PhD and is
willing to help those interested in study of Pali and other religious training. He
will be with us at least two weeks most likely during June. Two Burmese monks
will also be with us in June to teach Pali and chanting and to join in the
building effort of a Forest Shrine. They will be with us for the entire month
of June."
If there are any in the Missouri area that wish to study Pali from an
instructor, this might be the time and place to do so.
