Dear Tzung-Kuen

< 'paarihaariyapa~n~naa' ... is translated as
'protective understanding' by Nyanamoli Thera. >

This translation is to the best of my knowledge incorrect. paarihaariya in
itself means "to be carried around" i.e. always at hand. In the present case
the word refers to knowledge that is supposed to be present to you all the
time.

Regards,

Ole Pind
