Dear Yong Peng and Ole,
Ole, very interesting about ya.m: with optative. Here not a relative use,
but: to be translated as 'that'. I looked it up in PED, under ya: and saw it
there. So, here it should be: that... he deprives of life.

proclaim. One proclaims: he is the teacher.
