Many of you will probably know Rune E.A. Johansson, "Pali Buddhist Texts".
This book contains short Pali texts, translations of the texts and of each
word, and a summary of Pali grammar. This is a very useful supplement for
any student of Pali, since you can read meaningful texts in Pali from the
very start.

This book was first published in English in 1973. But some years earlier it
was presented in Swedish. This Swedish version is very useful for
Scandinavians, and in my opinion it is better than the English version in
some respects. The selection of texts is a little different in the two
versions, and although the differences are small, I really prefer the
Swedish version.
