I'm having problems with this word. In the context of the three causes for
rebirth - Gandhabbo paccupatthito hoti - it means the presence of a being
to be born. In other contexts it refers to a celestial musician.

In the former context, is the word derived from Gantha = a fetter, a bond,
or gabbha = womb, or from gandha = scent, odour. As far as I can see, the
PTS dictionary only gives the sense of celestial musician.
