N: vikkhepo is used in the Brahmajaalasutta and co., as translated by
Bhikkhu Bodhi, p. 173: <Endless equivocation
(amaraavikkhepa)...Equivocation (vikkhepa): tossing back and forth in
diverse ways (vividha khepa). 'Endless equivocation': equivocation through
endless views and speech.>
Khepa: throwing. Citta-khepa, loss of mind, perplexity. Vi: can denote
intensivity.
ceto: one of the synonyms of citta. Cetaso is the genitive.
Tossing back and forth is confusion. Derangement is an option. Or
perplexity.
In the context of the Brahmajaalasutta it is connected with wrong view.
