Dear Stephen and friends,

Thank you Stephen for your insight.

Here is AN 6.11.04

1) I am leaving sa~n~na as "perception", as that is the generally
accepted translation - correct me if I'm wrong, but perception can
also mean to conceive something to be something.

2) whether "perception" or "conception", the sense of "sa~n~naa"
doesn't seem to carry if vihi.msa is translated as "harming", and
kaama as "sensuality". Here I've translated vihi.msa as "ill-will"
(hopefully that means "will to harm") and kaama as "desire". I have
joined these words thus: "perception with desire" etc.
